College Monfant

Dapaong, Togo

Bienvenue! Welcome.

College Monfant is a Catholic school in the Savannah region of Togo, in the city of Dapaong. Founded in 1970, each year the school educates over 300 young women of all faith backgrounds from the region, including over 80 boarding students.

Friends of College Monfant is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose goal is to raise funds to support scholarships and other projects at the school.  We were founded in 2015 by Virginie Nalongue Cogan, 1984 graduate of the school. We are based in Northfield, Minnesota where we raise funds through garage sales, outright donations from community members, fundraising dinners, and other events. 5. Donations go directly to the school with minimal administrative costs for expenses like bank transfers, postage, and printing. Since 2017, we have raised over $75,000 for scholarships, supplies and capital projects.

In 2023, we were featured on KSTP Channel 5 out of the Twin Cities, the Northfield News, and KYMN radio (see below). You can read more about Nalongue’s story here (page 5 of the program).

Thank you for visiting and for your support of girls' education in West Africa.
